The author of Limitless
Living, A Guide to Unconventional Spiritual Exploration and Growth,
Prentice Kinser III, D.Min., currently serves full-time as the Rector of two
Episcopal parishes in Virginia.
Dr. Kinser has been an
ordained minister (Episcopal priest) for over 30 years. He received a Doctor of Ministry
degree in pastoral counseling and psychotherapy from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston,
Illinois, in cooperation with the Virginia Institute of Pastoral Care,
Richmond, Virginia. He earned an M.Div. degree from the School of Theology,
University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden
Graduate School of Business Administration,
Charlottesville, Virginia, and a B.A. degree from Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, Virginia. He is
certified as a Pastoral Counselor and Fellow by the American Association of
Pastoral Counselors, and is a Diplomate National Board Certified Clinical
Hypnotherapist.
After college Dr. Kinser
explored a variety of vocations as a chemistry and physics teacher, as
administrative assistant to the Dean of the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, as vice
president of Motivational Concepts, Inc., as a real estate broker in
Charlottesville, Virginia, and even attended medical school for three semesters. Dr. Kinser is also the
author of the doctoral thesis Prophecy, Trance and Transference: Hypnosis
as a Pastoral Counseling Modality, and of the soon to be completed
novel: Hawksbill.
He
and his wife now reside on the Northern Neck of Virginia and are parents of three
children and four grandchildren.
